Join us for a three-day camping trip beside the Djetinja River near Stapari and Užice, where nature, history and peace come together.
The Djetinja is one of the most scenic and cleanest rivers in western Serbia. Its water flows over stones once crossed by Roman legions. The Roman thermal springs of Stapari are here, used by local residents for centuries. Bathing in these mineral waters is not merely relaxing; it is an ancient ritual for body and mind.
We set up a comfortable camp on the riverbank. The tents are spacious and supplied with sleeping bags and everything you need. The surrounding nature is unspoilt. In the evening there is a crackling fire, stars that cannot be seen from the city and a hot dinner prepared over the fire by your guide or made from fresh local ingredients by a village grandmother.
On the way to camp, or on our return, we visit Užice, an old Serbian city with a rich history. You will climb to the historic Užice Fortress above the Djetinja canyon and enjoy a magnificent view of the city and river.
Close to our camp there is also a small, welcoming open-air ethnographic museum with traditional architecture and household objects that tell the story of village life in Serbia.
